PRAISE FOR a few BORE GIFTS:

A.G. Harmon is a author of the 1st order. those are dependent and humble and ruminative tales of individuals achieving their worldly results in a method or one other, and their encounters there with grace and a hard-wrought desire. a few Bore presents is in itself a present, and A.G. Harmon a author who blesses us together with his art.
— Bret Lott, writer of lifeless Low Tide

A.G. Harmon is that infrequent factor, a author who loves his characters with out idolizing them. In prose that's alternately crystalline and gritty, he exhibits how a middle in hiding could be introduced again to lifestyles via an opportunity come upon with one other. a few Bore presents are tales that song the flow from depression to pray, loss to restitution, the probably random steps we take alongside the line of grace. Harmon’s consummate storytelling makes us think in, not just the resilience, but additionally the fundamental grandeur of the human spirit.
— Suzanne M. Wolfe, writer of The Confessions of X

In those tales, Harmon takes you—lyrically, occasionally brusquely, continually with reliable humor—through a gallery of lives. a few complete and clever, others shallow and self-concerned, nonetheless others stunted or misunderstood—a wonderful human spectrum. I laughed out loud, flipped pages in fear, even felt a knife slice via my palm. yet so much visceral—and this can be Harmon’s gift—I felt myself disappear in moments of real, transcendent beauty.
— Samuel Thomas Martin, writer of A Blessed Snarl

A.G. Harmon’s new number of tales, a few Bore presents, is stunningly various, exhibiting an unlimited diversity of characters and the ability to attract them that enchants his reader. From the glimpse of a migrant employee as he starts his tale, “the impact he left upon the listener was once that of a music hummed from a porch step, throughout the lengthy liquid hours of the 1st, floating dusk,” to the voice of a wounded piano tuner who “leans into the reminiscence, his gaze mounted to what he needs to see,” Harmon creates a span of characters—an getting older celeb, a school English professor—and falls into not one of the attainable and hazardous pitfalls. Readers are, certainly, invited to hear at the entrance porch. Their gift is seeing the redemptive second of figuring out that Harmon’s characters discover.
— Margaret-Love Denman, writer of day-by-day, prior to Your Eyes

Und doch erkennt der junge Mann, was once kommt, used to be kommen muss.
