Lernprozesse, sondern auch ihre zwischenmenschlichen Beziehungen und stören
zunehmend die Persönlichkeitsentwicklung der Kinder und Jugendlichen. Oft wird
die pädagogische Arbeit mit diesen Kindern durch aggressives und zappeliges
Verhalten oder durch notorische Unruhe und übermäßige Ängstlichkeit empfindlich
gestört. Es muß daher nach Wegen gesucht werden, um Gegengewichte zu schaffen,
die es den Kindern und Jugendlichen ermöglichen, zu einer ausgeglicheneren
Lebensform zurückzufinden, dazu gehört vor allem die Reduzierung des auf ihnen
lastenden Spannungsdrucks. Ausreichende Möglichkeiten des Spannungsabbaus
durch Bewegung oder das Einbauen von Ruhephasen – Entspannung durch
Reizarmut – erleichtern den täglichen Umgang mit verhaltensgestörten Kindern.
Entspannungsverfahren lösen nachweislich optimistic Wirkungen auf physiologischer
wie psychischer Ebene aus. Ihr Einsatz führt zwar nicht zur Reduzierung von
Verhaltensstörungen, vielmehr zeigen Entspannungsverfahren ihre Bedeutsamkeit
